Bartleby 5 Incarnations

Bartleby is a character created by director Kevin Smith, an angel played by Ben Affleck featured in the movie Dogma. While I was writing another chapter for EDIETS I thougth was it was interesting how the character can and is perceived since I actually veiw him in four different ways. So here's just that.

Bartleby in 5 incarnations

Dogma: In the original and only media based form, since fanfiction can go so far Bartleby is a grigori (watcher) angel that was cast out heaven with his buddy former angel of death Loki (Matt Damon) In the film B. is portrayed as the more calm and sensible of the two angels. He has a laid back demeanor but wants with all efforts to get back home.
It isn't until the second act of the movie his being begins to take shape, after a fall out with Loki in a parking garage, the pair ultimately swap each others personalities leaving Bartleby in a crazed state and..... gets to enter heaven but not with out God blowing up his head.

ET:
In the very AU (Off the wall) Universe created by myself and former owner cuz Carina (Now Abbey) Here Bartleby is a aftermath ''fanfic'' version of himself, he has reclamied his sanity and is romantically involved with Loki this was due to their falling out plus over millions of years together..... Bartleby is more grounded and sure of himself.
He is past the guilt phase that I'm sure some fans played with the what if Dogma was ever going to get a sequel.

Overall between his residing with Loki and the other AU movie characters from crossover's he like in the Veiw-Askew chrons he is a excepted father. (The whole idea was spawned from ET.) B. remains steady, firm and overall leader of ET. realm.

Veiw-Askew Chronicles:
Bartleby is more retained to his film verse in this universe crossover of other Smith films along with other Cataclysm charcters. B. and Loki were granted a second chance sent back to earth as Angels again with some ''extra gifts'' in tact. The two have eventually forgave each other and became a couple breaking the millions of years of sexual tenison and mere new level in their ''friendship'' moving on.
However one night of sex and startling news from Metatron (Alan Rickman) finds the two to become parents. Loki given the gift of the I.C. (Immortal cycle a rather cheecky game God created selecting a number of angels to bare children, also Sofiel was granted this) Bartleby's world begins to shift again, still having nightmares of when he killed Loki (see Dogma) B.s biggest goals/fears/duties is the hardest challenge of making the huge shift to becoming a father.

Cataclysm:

Series I. Steampunk.
Bartleby is an angel living in a modern ''steampunk'' world where he is a clockmaker. He is more like his Dogma self, clam funny with a bit of sarcasm but is mostly humble. He is still with Loki (DON'T JUDGE ME!) and takes care of his twins.
Series II. Shakespeare.
Living in a modern ''Shakespeare'' world, Bartleby is a playwright, and actor. He is rather selfish and cynical but still has a love for the finer things like Loki (again ) and his children genderbent. Bartleby is kinda like his shakespeare in love character.
